Vacation Series: How I'm Prepping My Skin for Spring Break
Spring break is finally here and I’m off to Miami, Disney World, and New Orleans in the next week! As minimal as I like to keep my vacation skincare routine, my pre-vacation routine actually has a few additions I don’t regularly use. So let’s get to it!
KLAIRS Freshly Juiced Vitamin C Serum ($23): My skin is quite sensitive, so I don’t use this serum all the time. But, seeing as I’ll be wearing minimal makeup on vacation, I added this to my routine to fade any discolorations and generally brighten up my skin. It works like a dream!
Glossier Moisturizing Moon Mask ($22): Sun + airplane travel = very dehydrated skin. So in the days before my trip I’m packing as much moisture into my skin as I can by leaving this mask on overnight. My skin has been incredibly soft and plump as a result.
Clarins Radiance-Plus Golden Glow Booster ($32): This might be my favorite self-tanning product ever. Mix a couple drops in your moisturizer, apply overnight, and wake up looking like you spent the weekend in the sun. I am admittedly a fan of having a base tan before actually tanning.
Jergens Natural Glow Face Moisturizer & Body Moisturizer ($9.99 and $9.99): In the last few days before vacation, I’m supplementing the Clarins product with this face moisturizer in an effort to make sure my face and body match believably. The body moisturizer has been a staple in my bathroom every summer for at least the last five years.
That’s it! Just a few extra products to supplement my normal routine and make sure my skin is prepped for a week of travel and sunshine!
