The Perfect Plant-Based Scent for the Summer

As someone who both loves perfumes and tries to by natural or non-toxic products as much as possible, I've found it hard to find products where those two things intersect and still have a luxury, satisfying feel to them. That's why I was super excited when Curie reached out to me and offered me a gift card to test out their products. The brand is based in Austin, Texas, and they offer plant-based perfumes and personal care products with the same scents. I ended up picking out a perfume (of course) called "Bella Flor." Not only is it beautifully packaged, it's actually very reasonably priced ($85 for 50 ml) and incredibly long-lasting on the skin.

The scent itself has notes of bergamot, jasmine, lime, fresh rose, sandalwood, dried amber wood, almond, and sea salt. Upon first spritz the fresh rose is most noticeable, with incredible hints of smoky wood, making it smell both lush and deep. As the day goes on, the more beachy notes like lime and sea salt become more prominent. Just like their website says, it really combines a floral oasis, wooded beach, tropical greenery, and ocean air all in one amazingly unique and addictive scent. It's perfect day or night, and I'm thinking this will be my signature scent all summer. The lasting power is also so so incredible. I can spritz it on in the morning and still smell it on my skin the next day - which is way more than I can say for most perfumes in my collection. I love the scent so much I'm tempted to splurge on the Bella Flor lotions and washes.
