My Daily Makeup Routine

If you read my blog or follow me on Instagram, I'm sure you'll know by now that I love a very light and natural looking makeup routine. These days, I do switch things up sometimes, but when I'm in a rush, I try to stick to one basic routine that I know I like. So let's get started!

I'm not a big fan of primers, so I typically just use a moisturizer at the end of my skincare routine for this step. Recently, that's typically Dr. Roebuck's FACE Moisturizer, which is very light and hydrating (use BRIANAW15 on their website for 15% off!). If my face is super red and angry though, I'll top that with a bit of Glossier Priming Moisturizer and spritz with Caudalie Grape Water.

I have a few base products in rotation right now, but my go to is the Milk Makeup Sunshine Skin Tint in Medium. It's a light to medium coverage product, which is typically what I go for when I have some minor blemishes to cover up. For concealer I use either the Glossier Stretch Concealer or the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer, depending on how much coverage I need.

I've been getting a ton of use out of the RMS Signature Set Mod Collection lately. I use the Master Mixer, which is a lovely rose gold shade as a sort of very sheer cheek color. I start at my cheekbones and blend downwards so that it really catches the light. It's hardly noticeable in these photos, but it looks gorgeous when the sunlight catches it. For regular highlighting I use the Living Luminizer from the same palette. I love this highlighter. It gives you the most effortless, luminous glow. If I want more of a cheek look, I typically will add a Glossier Cloud Paint to the mix.

Eyes and Brows

On my eyelids, I put some of the previously mentioned Master Mixer, for a bit of a dewy, monochrome look. Then I do the most minimal cat eye I can manage with the Stila Stay All Day Liquid Eyeliner. I mainly use this to define and widen the look of my eyes a bit. For mascara, I grab whatever happens to be on hand. Today, that was a sample of the Clinique High Impact Mascara. On my brows I just use the Benefit Goof Proof pencil, although I'll set them with Glossier Boy Brow on rainy days.

Last Steps

I always use a Glossier Balm Dotcom on my lips, and, if I feel like it, I'll throw something like this Sephora Cream Lip Stain on. If it's raining or going to be a long day, I'll use a little of the Laura Mercier Candleglow Sheer Perfecting Powder on my t-zone. And last, but certainly not least, I spritz with the Caudalie Grape Water to help meld everything into my face.

That's it! Super easy, super glowy, and it only takes five minutes.
