'Tis the Season for Nostalgia

This week I've been thinking a lot about nostalgia and what a bittersweet feeling it is. I don't know about you guys, but the holidays always get me feeling nostalgic. I find myself thinking back on holidays I enjoyed as a kid and really just reliving a lot of fond memories. This is a time I love to spend with family, and that often means a lot of reminiscing about times past.

As I've gotten older, I've become much more insistent on not only taking photos, but also printing photos to have as keepsakes from happy events. It's one thing to have photos you can browse through on your phone, but I think it just feels a lot more special to have a tangible memory in your hands or decorating your walls. And, as someone who loves to take pictures, I can say it's an amazing feeling having the pictures you took printed out.

I recently had a bunch of little photos printed by Squared* and I couldn't be happier with how they turned out. I picked a selection of my favorite photos from Instagram, family photos from events over the course of this last year, and even photos of my best friends and pets. I still need to get supplies to hang and frame them with, but for now I'm loving having such nice quality photos I can flip through and place around my room for a little happiness boost. I personally really like small photos because I feel like I can use a lot more of them when it comes to decorating - and I am notoriously indecisive. This way I don't have to pick favorites!

This holiday season, I highly recommend you take photos of your happy times. Not enough to distract you from the present moment, but enough that you'll have moments to look back on in the coming years. If you do decide to print them, I highly recommend Squared. It's a super easy process and my photos came surprisingly quickly. Happy Holidays! I wish you all many happy memories!
