A Home Decor Update

It feels like it's been forever since I've done a home decor post! I won't say that a ton has changed, but I'm a sucker for the little details and there are certainly plenty of those to talk about. My space is finally feeling a lot more settled into and a lot more like me. I can hold onto the dream that I'll be a minimalist one day, but honestly my space doesn't feel like mine until there are all of these little things I adore in it.

The biggest change has been the addition of some floating shelves to my walls. They came as a set of 7 at Target and since I'd been talking about putting up shelves for literal months, they seemed like a perfect affordable option. For now they're housing little knick knacks, some jewelry storage, and a portion of my candle collection. The two smallest were just perfect for holding my lovely Boy Smells candles.

Speaking of storage, I've recently become a bit obsessed with saving quite a few of the glass containers that pass through the house. The Fentimans Rose Lemonade bottle is for sure my favorite, but I've also got some Bonne Maman jelly jars being put to good use as jewelry and perfume sample storage. I also managed to pick up a couple of Anthropologie dishes on sale for $2-3 recently. I had my eye on the constellation one for ages and it's perfect for holding my bedside necessities. The metal Zodiac dish was too cute to pass up! Although it's serving more as decoration than as storage at the moment.

Of course, I've also got the addition of my two little Klimt prints - part of a collection I picked up after seeing some of his works in person in San Francisco. I'm still on the hunt for a frame that fits the one behind my plant, they're a little awkwardly sized unfortunately. But I'm in love with the gold frame I managed to find for the other one!

For now I'm feeling quite pleased with this room and its organized chaos. Things migrate of course as I realize what's practical and what isn't, but overall the setup is pretty set at this point. I'll just be here dreaming of minimal linen bedding for summer.
