Natural Beauty: Skincare I'm Loving So Far

I've already talked a bit about why I'm leaning toward natural beauty and the way I'm going about transitioning my routine and doing research, so today I figured I'd talk a bit about the natural skincare products I've fallen in love with in the past couple of weeks. Now I'd say these products are varying levels of natural, but they all passed Skin Deep's standards, so I feel like at least on that front I'm good knowing that I'm at least not putting any significant toxins onto my skin. So, let's get started:

  • Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist ($48): This is the product I was probably most hesitant about trying. I've used the Mario Badescu Rosewater Facial Spray for years, and this mist is significantly more expensive. I had heard a few bloggers rave about it though, so I figured I'd give it a try - and I'm so glad I did! A couple spritzes of this gives my skin the loveliest natural looking dew without making it appear oily. You really do just look luminous! This hasn't irritated my skin at all and I love that it sprays in a very fine mist and doesn't disturb makeup.
  • Boscia Cool Blue Hydration Essence ($20.48): This essence is free of most concerning things like parabens, preservatives, artificial fragrance, and more, and it only has 1% water, making it a super potent product. I've found that it's very hydrating, and have been using it morning and night to help control the redness in my skin. It does a wonderful job overall, so I was sad to find out Boscia has discontinued it! I found mine at TJ Maxx, and there seem to be some still available online, so I'll be over here stocking up.
  • Herbivore Botanicals Lapis Facial Oil ($72): The new superstar of my routine. For the first time in a decade (!!!!) I have pretty much completely clear skin, no acne in sight, and it's all thanks to this facial oil. Any bumps that have popped up have disappeared overnight and been very minor, I've even managed to avoid any monthly hormonal breakout. Seriously a wonder product you guys. I wanted to hate this because of how expensive it is, but honestly this bottle will probably last me a good six months and it is so worth it. Side note: I'm not a fan of the smell, but I can live with it for the sake of clear and glowing skin.
